In response the COVID-19, Savory understands that catering needs are evolving, and we are fully prepared to adapt to these changes in order to provide you a safe and delicious meal. Our single focus is to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of our clients and employees while continuing to provide access to exceptional hospitality.

Our leadership team is closely monitoring the evolving guidelines regarding COVID-19, daily. We are updating our plans in real time, proactively communicating with all our teams, and doing all that we can prevent the spread of COVID 19. As we have been closely tracking COVID 19 safety best practices, we have secured on ongoing supply chain of appropriate PPE and food safety and sanitation equipment.


  • Savory provides Covid-19 specific training to adhere to safety protocols

  • Savory routinely sanitizes all frequently touched surfaces in the workplace, such as workstations, countertops, and doorknobs.

  • Savory will coordinate with state and local health officials, so that timely and accurate information can be given and guide us with appropriate responses for our location of operation.

  • Savory recognizes the recommendation of the CDC to separate any employee who appears to have acute respiratory illness symptoms (I.E. cough, fever, shortness of breath) upon arrival to work or becomes sick during the day. Employee will be sent home immediately.

  • Savory maintains flexible policies that permit employees to stay home if ill, or to care for a sick family member or loved one.

  • Savory provides employees appropriate protective equipment according to existing policies and procedures.



Keeping our facility safe is our top priority. For each person who enters the Savory facility the following protocols are in place:

  • Before entering the building each employee is required a COVID 19 questionnaire, accessed through a QR code, to be completed. This screening is always accessible in our Microsoft Teams environment.

  • Every person who enters Savory goes through a rigorous sterilization process, including a temperature check at the door that is recorded daily.

  • PPE required for specific roles are provided upon entry.

  • For corporate office team, masks and routine hand-washing and sanitization

    are required.

  • For culinary and operations team members, masks, gloves, uniforms and proper sanitization products and equipment are distributed.

  • Savory uses a variety of environmental hygiene products sourced from Ecolab that clean, disinfect surfaces and high-touch objects with approved disinfectants.

  • Dedicated shifts added for extensive cleaning and disinfection to ensure successful operation for both employees and clients.

  • Social distancing is maintained throughout the facility.

  • Culinary and operations teams are assigned independent 6 foot working stations.

  • Facility traffic flows are designed to minimize contact and congregation.

  • Corporate office team member work on a weekly rotation schedule, limiting interoffice contact and are permitted to work from home.

  • All of your food is produced in a quality-controlled environment, maintaining the highest levels of sanitation and sterilization, according to the CDC and HACCP guidelines


In addition to general safe work practice training, we have provided specific COVID-19 training to our team members:

  • Training topics have included: Social Distancing, how to report an injury or illness, Respiratory protection, Bloodborne Pathogens, Hygiene, Cleaning and Sanitation, SDS Sheets, Job or Activity Hazard Analysis, and Emergency and First Aid Procedures.

  • Training meetings in the form of daily pre-task plan meetings, safety stand downs, safety advisories, video/learning modules and text messages.

  • Savory encourages all of its employees to get tested often, in order to keep the workforce safe. If an employee reports that they have tested positive, the employee is asked to remain home and will be contacted by the NYC test and trace corps to begin contact tracing. Any employees who have been in close contact (less than 6 feet) with the at-risk employee are required to stay home for at least 48 hours, and all employees who are sick, and/or suspect they may have been exposed to COVID-19, are asked to remain home. They are able to return to work once they provide a negative COVID-19 test.


  • When Savory arrives at your facility, our team members will come equipped to sanitize your space, and maintain a sterilized environment with minimal contact with your employees

  • All surfaces that food will touch will be wiped down and sanitized prior to service

  • While at your facility, our team members will wear PPE at all times, including a face mask, gloves, and any other PPE your building requires
